- 16:5416:54, 28 May 2024 diff hist 0 Titanic Rv of editor landaani, who on 15 April altered “as a result of” to “after,” for purposes of “clarity.” His edit doesn’t clarify. I had altered “after” to “as a result of” on 5 January specifically to preclude a post hoc ergo propter hoc fallacy. On 14 April landaani similarly changed “during her maiden voyage” to “on the ship’s maiden voyage,” but a pronoun is simpler and thus better. “[O]nly equipped with” is poor style. “Titanic shipwreck is here now” seems too informal prose. (See here, now!)

- 07:4107:41, 26 May 2024 diff hist +66 The Italian Job (charity event) Passage augmented to clarify Freddie St George's part in the event; prose improved (e.g., "both" is an awkward modifier of "the UK and other countries"). current
- 05:5405:54, 26 May 2024 diff hist 0 m The Wrecking Crew (music) WP stylebook endorses use of present tense in reference to media works (e.g., “The Ed Sullivan Show is an American television variety show that ran on CBS from June 20, 1948, to March 28, 1971….”), but not their past creators (e.g., “Arthur Evelyn St. John Waugh was an English writer of novels, biographies, and travel books….”). “Era” is rather too grand, and arguably suggests too long a time. current

- 05:2705:27, 18 May 2024 diff hist +31 Amy Winehouse →Death: It’s incongruous to read, “ ‘she was found dead.’ Later, Amy called her doctor….” Tenses thus also reset to past perfect as needed for comprehensibility. Further, “[w]ith this, Amy’s last recorded words are known to be the former” is pleonastic. Also, Winehouse’s surname substituted, in standard scholarly fashion observed elsewhere in this article, for given name. And, presumably, it was Winehouse herself, not her bodyguard, who was drinking moderately at the time mentioned.
