Location of Furudono in Fukushima prefecture

Furudono (古殿町; -machi) is a town located in Ishikawa District, Fukushima, Japan.

As of 2003, the town has an estimated population of 6,563 and a density of 40.15 inhabitants per square kilometre (104/sq mi). The total area is 163.47 square kilometres (63.1 sq mi).

It is a sister town of Warkworth in New Zealand.

The town is surrounded by forest and mountains. It has a museum which belongs to the mayor Okabe and features traditional Japanese antiquities such as clothing, currencies, tools, art, simple machines and photos. The town has several temples and shrines and also a Sakura Tree which is more than 400 years old and next to a spring, that is meant to grant a 100 year long life to any person who drinks of it.
