On [[October 1]], [[2005]], Niitsuru merged with [[Aizutakada, Fukushima|Aizutakada]] and [[Aizuhongō, Fukushima|Aizuhongō]] to form the new town of [[Aizumisato, Fukushima|Aizumisato]].

Niitsuru (新鶴村; -mura) is a village located in Ōnuma District, Fukushima, Japan.

As of 2003, the village has an estimated population of 3,874 and a density of 95.56 persons per km². The total area is 40.54 km².

The current Assistant Language Teacher in Niitsuru is Ryland Watanabe. He is an American from Hawaii--Hurleybean (talk) 03:18, 19 December 2008 (UTC)

On October 1, 2005, Niitsuru merged with Aizutakada and Aizuhongō to form the new town of Aizumisato.
