Aizu-Yanaizu Station opened on November 20, 1928, as the terminus of the initial eastern section of the [[Japanese National Railways]] (JNR) Tadami Line from {{STN|Aizu-Wakamatsu}}. History[edit]

Aizu-Yanaizu Station opened on November 20, 1928, as the terminus of the initial eastern section of the Japanese National Railways (JNR) Tadami Line from Aizu-Wakamatsu. In 1941, the line was extended from Aizu-Yanaizu to a new terminus at Aizu-Miyashita.[1] The station was absorbed into the JR East network upon the privatization of the JNR on April 1, 1987.
